Let them eat cake – birthday cake that is! Britney Spears took to Instagram on December 2, to celebrate her 41st birthday while her husband Sam Asghari, 28, sang his birthday. “My husband surprised me!!! I have a cold and he came down…he was so smooth!!!! I love you!!!! It’s Mr. and Mrs. Asghari!!!”, the actress captioned the video. In the video, Sam was seen putting candles on the white birthday cake, while the pink cake had a bottle of champagne inside the back.
Hours before the video was shared, Sam took to his Instagram Story to reveal that he was buying Britney a birthday cake. “Thank you @sweetladyjanebakeries,” she captioned the post with a cake emoji. Many of Britney Army’s fans took to the comments to express their concern for the 41-year-old, as she did not mention her birthday all day after writing a seemingly surprising post a few hours earlier. “Soooooo she’s not in her birthday video?”, one follower wrote, while another added, “That voice doesn’t sound like Britney.” However, the “Hold Me Closer” singer admitted that she’s “sick with the flu” in her lyrics, as mentioned above.
Brit’s post comes just two hours after she shared a photo of her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, 31, along with a surprising statement given that the sisters have been arguing for a long time. “It’s my birthday but you’re my heart so I’m thinking about you… thank you so much for being brave, encouraging, showing courage and glory in your show!!! You’re not alone… I love you!!!”, the mother of two wrote the words . JL rocked a floral blouse and daisy shorts while playing the guitar in the photo.

Of course, Britney’s 41.6 million followers were surprised by this post, because the blonde bombshell has spoken openly about her and JL’s precious relationship. “Really? On your bday do we have pictures of your wedding with your sister? What about you? How was your day?? How are you feeling??”, one admirer wrote, while another added, “Am I the only one confused?” However, one fan took the comment to Britney’s defense. “Britney should have the right to change her mind. A family is a family, and the truth is, none of us have the right to police how we deal with our past pain, whether it looks like anger and hurt or help and forgiveness,” said a fan.
Despite the disturbing posts of Britney Army, other celebrities chose to reflect on the pop star’s birthday, including her ex-girlfriend. Paris Hilton, 41. The media personality took to Instagram on Dec. 2 to share a romantic video of Britney’s birthday. “Happy birthday @BritneySpears! So many magical memories with you after twenty years of friendship! Thank you for being an amazing friend with a beautiful soul. You deserve all the happiness in the world!”, the DJ wrote. Some of the content in the post included a video of Britney’s wedding, a throwback photo of the two beauties at a club, and several throwback selfies of Britney and Paris.
