After weather and other unexpected delays, Buckhead Kitchen & Bar has opened its doors at 1760 Scottsville Road in Bowling Green, KY. The new restaurant is a new, unique concept known as flex casual. It combines both fast casual dining, and full-service dining for dinner. It also offers a full service bar.
The restaurant isn’t considered a sports bar nor does it intend to be open late at night. The intention is to keep the family friendly atmosphere that the previously closed Buckhead Cafe had while adding a dedicated area for those wanting a drink or looking to catch a game.
The menu and food appear to be similar to that found at the old Buckhead Cafe location. Initial reviews of the new and improved restaurant have been positive. There are a few “slow service” reviews added in, which can be expected when a new restaurant first opens. The restaurant officially opened on Feburary 27, 2019.
The food is reasonably priced for the area. The menu and reviews below were taken from the restaurant’s Facebook page.

“The food (catfish) was very, very good. The service was excellent! Will definitely eat there again.”
“Beautiful, yet casual atmosphere offering your favorite Buckhead menu items. Add in a laid-back bar area, complete with TVs for your favorite sporting event, where you can still enjoy cool music and a great conversation and you have a new neighborhood favorite. Full service restaurant with a vast menu ranging from pizza, paninis, and burgers to comfort foods and healthy choices with a great glass of wine.”
As the Bowling Green community awaits a vote for a food truck district on Campbell Lane, Buckhead Kitchen and Bar hopes to dip its toes in on that by adding a food truck to their operations, if the proposal passes.
