The swing of holiday sales two weeks before Halloween – or Black Friday two events days after Halloween – it’s over. It’s something we’ve learned to expect over the past few years.
What we haven’t experienced is Black Friday sales starting less than two weeks into October. Target has re-written the rulebook this year, cutting the ribbon on its Good Friday sale on Oct. 10 – pulling ahead of all major retailers including Amazon, which held its first Prime Early Access Sale (essentially a sneaky Black Friday event) a few days later.

But between last year’s booming prices and this year’s price hikes, we’ve learned that “the sooner, the better” is the way to go this time of year. Although stocks may be increasing, a few Big Deals have already been sold during Target’s sale.
