Leon Smith’s Davis Cup men are missing Andy and Jamie Murray as they travel to Bogota to take on rivals Colombia in the hopes of reaching the semi-finals in September.
Britain missed out on the quarter-finals last year following defeats to the USA and the Netherlands and must beat Colombia in a match played 2,500 meters above sea level to qualify for the finals in September before the finals in November.
The players have chosen the Pueblo Viejo Country Club clay court outside the capital city of Bogota to meet.
Smith brings his strongest team with British No 1 Cameron Norrie, Dan Evans, Jack Draper, world No 1 Neal Skupski and Joe Salisbury rounding out the tie, which will take place from February 3-4.
Colombia’s Daniel Elahi Galan – ranked 81st in the world – has been withdrawn from the tournament meaning the hosts will now be led by No 253 Nicolas Meija.
They also have the former world No 1 partnership of Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah.
