A video of DDG speaking in his “real voice” has gone viral, and the internet is at a loss!
DDG Changes Podcast Format
The drawing in question is from the DDG format on Dope as usual podcast, which aired back in October.
During the interview, host Dope while Yola revealed the speculation he heard about DDG’s “real voice”.
“We had about 200 people say, ‘Ask [DDG] of his true words.’ What does that mean? Is that an inside joke?”
In response, DDG confirmed that the speculation was true, and later put his “real words” on display.
He used a deeper voice than he used in public, and the host was shocked by this revelation. In turn, the “9 Lives” rapper began using his high-pitched voice to express himself.
“I only talk like this when I’m trying to make music and make content and s**t.”
DDG then switched to a deeper tone to drive his point home.
βBut I really talk like this in real life. You can ask anyone. This is how I speak.”
The video concludes by explaining that this change is part of his personality, as he said, “You have to make a person.”

DDG Shares His Deep Voice Over “Damaged Strings”
At this point, we should mention that DDG has already explained why he can exchange words so hard.
Back in 2017, he posted a video and explained that he swallowed a coin as a very young child, which “broke. [his] vocal cords.β
He went on to refute claims that his deep voice was “edited” and shared that he doesn’t like putting his “real voice” on display.
What do you think of DDG’s “true voice”?
