Katharine McPhee it’s all about “useful” gifts…but always with an adulterous twist! In a new interview with The Daily MailThe stunning singer, 38, shared her thoughts on what could be under the tree for the hubby David Foster, 73. “I like to give practical gifts for Christmas – nothing too much – like new suitcases and things like that,” he told the outlet in an interview published on Nov 18. “But like good suitcases, adulterous suitcases.” She also said that her music legend husband is not a “rich man.” Katharine made a statement at an event in Beverly Hills on Thursday, Nov 17, for her new jewelry line, aptly named. The American Idol The alum also shared what she hopes for this year with her son Rennie, 21 months. “This is my son’s first Christmas to participate in and maybe open a present or two,” she shared. “But, we are not crazy. We will help ourselves this year. We just want to stop.”
The mum-of-one added that the celebrity couple are looking for nothing, and insisted they are humbled – and above all, grateful. “Of course we have everything we need,” he told reporters. “We don’t want anything – we don’t really want anything.” We are so thankful to have what we have…our friends and family, everyone is healthy and well [David’s] not a materialist at all.”

Katharine and David started dating in 2017 and became engaged by July 2018. They got married in a high-profile ceremony in London on June 28, 2019. Katharine gave birth to Rennie in February 2021, and while the boy is the first, David has more – they have five grown children (Allison, Amy, Sara, Erinand Jordan) through four previous marriages. Katharine was previously married to an actor Nick Kokas between 2008-2014.
And while the age gap seems to be a constant theme when fans talk about the super relationship, Katharine says no one is complaining. “Of course, some people think it’s a thing, but we don’t care,” he said DM.
