Roslyn Singletonwho are known to have appeared on Episode 16 of America’s Got Talent and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, died Tuesday, Nov. 15 after receiving treatment for brain cancer. She was 39 years old. “WELL DONE!! The couple became famous in 2020 after Ray shared a video of them singing Daniel Caesar‘s “Get You” for Roslyn before her brain surgery. The video went viral, bringing the family to the scene Ellen. Roslyn Died Almost 10 Years After She Was Diagnosed With Brain Cancer
When on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2020, Roslyn revealed that she was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2013 and underwent brain surgery to remove her tumor that same year. “It was Stage 3 at first and the tumor was growing like an orange,” he said. Fortunately, he was in remission for six years and declared himself “in good health.” Sadly, in 2020, her tumor returned in the same location. They caught it when it was the size of a “half dollar” and immediately operated on it. After the tumor was removed, he began to treat the cancer.
I’m on the show, Ellen DeGeneres, now 64, was impressed by Roslyn’s positive attitude. “I have this opinion because I feel that God fights with other people so that other people know that it will be okay,” he said proudly. “And I’m not going to lie and say, ‘brain cancer is a breeze.’ No. But a prayer of encouragement, good people,” he continued, before losing his temper.
Roslyn is known for her service in the Navy
Roslyn, who came from North Carolina with Ray, was a Navy veteran. He was recognized by Pruitt Home Health in Nov. 2022 for his work while he was in the hospital and was given a certificate of honor, which Ray read in an Instagram video at the time. “We have gathered here today to honor you for serving our country. We thank you for your sacrifice, the hardships you have endured, and your willingness to risk your life to maintain freedom,” the statement read.
“We pay special respect to you for our military service to the United States of America and to promote the hope of freedom and liberty for all,” it continued. “It is an honor and privilege to present you with a Veterans Recognition Pin. When you see this pin, please know that your service to the country is greatly appreciated. We thank you and salute you.”
Roslyn and Ray Featured on Oprah’s OWN Network
Roslyn and Ray shared their heartwarming story on the 2022 episode of OWN’s Black Love documents. Ray explained that although it is not easy to watch his loved one go through cancer treatment, he is proud of how well he did in his cancer journey. “It was difficult, the journey, and it is still difficult because we are talking about cancer. And it’s a rare form of brain cancer and you don’t want to see the love of your life go to the doctor for a broken leg, let alone a head amputation,” she said. “I knew I had to do whatever I could. I knew I couldn’t take the pain away.”
“This is the Angel of God, man,” he continued, wiping tears from his eyes. “Some people cannot afford one brain surgery. He has dealt with four, and look at him.
Roslyn And Ray Had Their Own Business
A former Marine and her husband’s mission in life was to inspire others to “love without limits”. They created their business, Eleven-Oh-Four, to help them do that. According to his website, the name reflected the date of their wedding: Nov. 4, 2018. “Ray and Ros hope to continue to inspire people through their unwavering faith in GOD and the positive energy they experience every day,” their website says. The family sold t-shirts, shirts, hats, and music.
