A person was found dead Jackson State University (JSU), and the Hinds County coroner is seen lifting a body into his SUV from the trunk of a car in the camp’s parking lot, said to be that of a boy who was shot to death, he later revealed.
Price WLBT reporter CJ LeMaster posted a photo of the incident Friday afternoon, and said “we do not know the cause of death at this time.”
This photo shows the JSU parking lot cordoned off with yellow police tape, with a coroner’s van clearly visible.

One parent of a JSU student tweeted about the incident, he also says that “a girl just called him and said that she found a boy’s body in a boy’s car at her college.”
The parent continued to report that another student had been arrested, but there was no confirmation on that as of Friday afternoon. The victim’s name has not been released, and it is not known if the victim was a student at JSU.

Currently, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and Jackson State University Campus Enforcement are investigating the death as a homicide on campus.
Coroner Confirms Victim Was Male, As JSU Officials Issue Email Alert To Students Regarding Investigation
Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart confirmed the victim was male, according to WLBT.
Campus police were called to the scene around 8:30 a.m., which was located in the parking lot between Dixon Hall and Campbell College Suites.
Campus police issued an alert to students Friday morning, saying, “There is an ongoing investigation at the campus and officials are in the Tiger World parking lot. There is no threat and the campus remains open.”

JSU President Arrived Friday to Speak with Campus Police, No Information Available
JSU President Thomas K. Hudson was also at the event early Friday to speak with campus police, the report reported.
There is no information available on the incident at this time.
