What happened to Shanquella Robinson?
As mentioned earlier, Shanquella died during a birthday celebration for one of his friends. He was in Mexico with a group of about 6 people, who eventually returned to the United States without his body after he died.
Shanquella’s mother, Salamondra, received conflicting reports of her daughter’s death from the public. While still in Mexico, he received calls that Shanquella was not feeling well, was drinking heavily, and had no energy.
Salamondra later received an autopsy report from Mexican authorities that determined alcohol was not the cause of Shanquella’s death. Instead, the report found she suffered a broken neck and broken back from the beating. Although the US State Department in Mexico initially denied that Robinson’s death was a homicide, a video of Dejahnae beating an unwilling Shanquella naked shows the end of the violence.

When he arrived, Dr. Gutiérrez tried to hand over Shanquella IV after his friends insisted he was “I’m very drunk.” However, it didn’t work. Robinson continued “fixed marks” even dehydration and inability to communicate verbally.

Furthermore, the timing differs from the autopsy, which states that medical professionals arrived to treat Shanquella at 3pm, and that he died within 15 minutes of their arrival.
It is unclear what charges Dejahnae Jackson faces in the case and whether the dismissal will take place before the December holiday season. Shanquella’s mother took action in response to his arrest ABC news on the third.
“I feel very good, I feel good. This is what we have been waiting for, for someone to be charged and arrested. I can’t wait for justice to be served,” said Salamondra.
