Mike Tyson has been hit with a $5M lawsuit, which accuses him of raping a woman sometime in the early 1990s.
The Woman Said The Rape Happened In Mike’s Limo
According to the case reported by a Times Union, the event was held in Albany, New York. Although the time has been narrowed down to the early ’90s, an exact date has not been given.
The woman said that she and Mike met outside a club that is now closed, and that she invited him and a friend to a party. However, the accuser says she and her partner broke up, leaving her alone with Mike.
There, Mike is accused of beating the woman even though she said “no,” and he is said to have raped her.
No details, including whether the limo driver was in the car at the time, were released in the lawsuit.
However, the woman says she is dealing with “endless damage” in various areas of her life as a result of what happened.
“This tragic event has hurt me forever and I want to keep my privacy in this very difficult and personal matter. Tyson is a famous person and I know that I will be attacked by the media and all his fans.”

We should add that this alleged incident is known to have occurred around the time Mike sexually assaulted Desiree Washington.
In July 1991, Desiree—an 18-year-old practicing for the Miss Black America pageant—accompanied the wrestler to his hotel room in Indianapolis, according to History. Soon after, Mike was accused of raping Desiree, although he insisted it was consensual.
On Feb. 10, 1992, Mike Tyson was accused of raping Desiree Washington. He later spent three years in prison, before being released in February 1995.
The lawsuit was filed under the New York Survivors Act
As for the new lawsuit, it was filed under the Adult Survivors Act—which allows New Yorkers who have been sexually assaulted as adults to file complaints against their abusers, even if the incident happened years ago.
The Adult Survivors Act allows those claims to be filed within a one-year window, which opened about two months ago, according to AP news.
