Peter Rosenberg seems to be responsible for OTOPA Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé comparisons.
At the time of Ebro in the morning appearance, Kelly gathered Rosenberg after he said it seemed like he liked it “Playing second to Beyoncé.” He prefaced his comment by saying that Angie Martinez recently gave Kelly her flowers for playing the second part.
“You stood next to the brightest light on Planet Earth,” Rosenberg said. He added, “You have Beyoncé and you not only like to fight it, it seems that you really love the place you live in and you respect it.”
The singer, no doubt, closed his voice with his answer.
“Here’s the thing, light attracts light. I am light. So, I’m a pretty, shiny brown, so I don’t think anyone else’s light rubs off on anyone else,” Kelly replied. “I feel that when other people start comparing you, I feel that it shows that they are not good. So, I don’t take on anyone trying to put out my light on anyone else. I love B, I know he’s a light, but I know I’m a light too. “
Interview Goes Viral, Rosenberg Says He Apologized to Kelly
Rosenberg’s question went viral, and after two Twitter users called him out in the thread, he admitted that he had a problem with his question.
“Lol I heard… I hated my question… stupid and stupid… I dropped him a line to apologize for how it turned out,” he replied.

One of the users, @IamHarmony, also responded, saying, “It was a bad question, Rosenberg, we hated it too. Constant comparisons, mentioning or asking about Beyoncé Kelly when asked, it’s boring, guys.” Rosenberg he answeredto say that he did not mean that but “I can’t find you at all.”
Rosenberg followed Kelly’s apology on Twitter, “I messed up, sorry @kellyrowland, it wasn’t my intention but intentions aren’t always important, I’ll take the L.”
I messed up. I’m sorry @KELLYROWLAND …
it wasn’t far from my goal but goals aren’t always important. I’ll take the L…

Kelly Says She And Beyoncé Shine Together
But, Rosenberg’s tweets paint a different picture than his persistence during the interview. Even after the award-winning singer, artist, writer and businessman boasted his brilliance; answered his comparative question. When he tried to frame the question from Kelly’s point of view, he said, “My best friend is the biggest star in the world,” he cut her off and fired another shot.
“Yeah, and his best friend’s sister is one of the biggest stars in the world,” Kelly said. “So, it’s like people only see things from one side, you know what I mean. So I don’t like it when they put one person in the same place as we all look.”
Kelly continued, pointing Marsai Martin, who sat next to him, as someone who was shining with him. The singer explained that people are entering a place where they believe that only one person can shine.
“My sister has knocked down doors and created roles for many women who look like her, who are a shade deeper than her… But someone else did it to her, and another group did it to us, and I do it to other brown girls,” Kelly said. “It’s just a cycle and an opportunity for us all to open doors instead of comparing ourselves. Don’t be too narrow and I feel like people comparing are short in their thinking. And they control themselves, so don’t underestimate other people.”
At this time, Ebro came in, and talked about these ideas, especially about black people and culture. The rest of the questions also hinged on the roles of Marsai and Kelly in the upcoming film Fantasy Football.
Social Media Comes to Kelly’s Defense
With YEARS of Kelly grappling with the same questions, social media’s response to Rosenberg wasn’t very kind.
The problem is that Kelly Rowland has been dealing with this disrespect for a long time. For many years! This is not about Rosenberg.

I’m not trying to see Kelly Rowland do grace when Peter Rosenberg asks her stupid questions about “playing second to Beyoncé”.

Oh, Rosenberg @Rosenbergradio. these days…

After all these years and many successful SOLO projects you can imagine @HOT97 & Rosenberg would have RESPECT for Kelly.
We don’t need to click bait/repeated questions asking someone how it feels to be in someone else’s light? KELLY is LIGHT and the goddess of sound

Rosenberg’s interview shows how the radio personality is no longer in the game, their skills are not what they used to be or need to be. I still have this story in 2022 about Kelly & Beyoncé it’s just bad as an interviewer.

First of all Kelly is so beautiful 😍like wow. 2, this was a lazy and rude question to ask him. Like come on 🙄 the part of me that used to want to be a journalist is so pissed off with Rosenberg https://t.co/bmfmnA2aDW

It’s funny because she and Marsai Martin did an interview with the morning club where Hot97 and Beyonce weren’t mentioned once, the interview was about Kelly Rowland and Marsai Martin not sure why Rosenberg brought her up while promoting the video.
