    Harry Higgs is part of a three-way lead at the PGA Tour’s RSM Classic, with England’s Callum Tarren and Ireland’s Seamus Power among the chasers.

    Higgs posted seven birdies in a bogey-free 63 on the Seaside Course, one of two in use this week at Sea Island Golf Club, to tie Andrew Putnam and overnight leader Cole Hammer at 12.

    The 30-year-old, who has not finished 10th on the PGA Tour all year, rolled from 25 feet into the second and three birdies on four holes from the sixth, before birdying his three. the last five holes to move a share of the lead.

    “I want to continue playing the golf I’m playing now,” Higgs said. “It’s not going to happen forever, you’re going to have bad days and whatnot.”

    Hammer mixed in seven birdies and three bogeys in his second-round 66, while Putnam held a comfortable lead on the Plantation Course until he followed up with four consecutive birdies to close with a five-under 65 and a bogey.

    “My driving performance has been the best of my career this past year,” Putnam said. Putting is back to normal and my irons this week have been very sharp. Almost every aspect of my game has been really good right now, so it’s an exciting time to be playing golf.”

    Joel Dahmen birdied his last four holes to card an eight-under 64 on the Plantation Course, moving him into the lead alongside Beau Hossler and Sahith Theegala, while Tarren is four players two strokes back after closing in on a four-under 68 with consecutive birdies.

    David Lingmerth, Kevin Streelman and Seung-Yul Noh are also 10 under alongside Tarren, Will Gordon and Ben Martin all inside the top three thanks to second round 64s on the Plantation Course.

    A final bogey saw Power shoot a four-under 68 and fall four back, with England’s Justin Rose also shooting a seven-under 27 for the weekend to within five strokes.
