Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. celebrated their 20th anniversary in September, and it looks like the event is still going strong! The adorable couple took to their Instagram accounts on Friday, December 3 to share a super cute selfie from their romantic sushi date in Hollywood. Sarah Michelle rocked a black top, while Freddie looked dapper in a hoodie, as she captioned the photo, “Date Night!”
A few days before the sushi date, Freddie ZOSAVUTA talked to him Hollywood life about their marriage and how to make it last. “Yeah, if there was a magic secret, I’d write a book, and everyone would know,” Freddie explained. “I don’t know if that’s a secret, but we were friends at first,” he continued. He knew what kind of man I was before we started dating. He knows my personality and vice versa. So there was no, ‘Hey, here’s my best first year.’
“We were both in very different relationships. And I didn’t look at it again,” added Freddie. “So, I don’t know if that’s a secret, but that was the philosophy that we all had. And I think being friends at first was very helpful.”
To mark their big anniversary earlier this year, the couple shared romantic photos from their 2002 wedding on social media. Marriage was very difficult in those days, as Sarah Michelle and Freddie were a young Hollywood couple. While battling the challenges of Tinseltown marriage, the couple also welcomed two children, a daughter Charlotte Grace Prinze, 12, i Rocky James Prinze, 10. Although parents do not put their children’s faces on social media, the family is often seen on vacation together.
Meanwhile, another part of the celebration includes Sarah Michelle and Freddie laughing Howard Stern because of the doubt that the couple will make their family stronger during the conversation with Freddie before he is caught. When Sarah Michelle sent the photos in question, Freddie happily replied, “He’ll never forget it.”
