South Africa’s Sbu Nkosi found ‘safe and well’
South African striker Sbu Nkosi has been found “safe”, his Bulls team have confirmed.
The Pretoria team revealed at the weekend that Mr Nkosi had been reported missing to the police.
At the time the club had no contact with the 26-year-old since November 11.
He has now released a statement confirming that he was on Monday.
The Bulls statement added: “When it was known that Mr. Nkosi was fine, unharmed and able to speak, the director of the association, Edgar Rathbone, entered Nkosi’s house. [with the permission of the player]spending time with him alone, to understand how the company can best serve him and what he needs.
“We are happy that Mr Nkosi is okay.”
No details on Nkosi’s absence were given earlier but the club will hold a press conference on Tuesday.
Wing Nkosi has 16 caps for the Springboks and was a member of their 2019 World Cup winning side.

In an interview with News24Nkosi said he stayed at his father’s house and struggled to play rugby at the highest level.
“I’m very well,” he said. “Obviously there’s a lot to talk about that I can’t say out loud, but my condition is getting better.
“It’s been really tough mentally. It’s been building for a couple of years now, since the Sharks thing, and it’s been a really tough time.”
She added: “There’s a lot to take in: the expectations, the fact that by choosing to take care of myself right now, there are people I’m letting down, and it hurts me too.
“There’s a lot, but I’m at a point where I need to prioritize the person who plays rugby right now.
“I just needed time. I have been playing football with my father, and every day he has been guiding my thoughts.”
