Former President Donald Trump he kicked off his third campaign for the White House on Tuesday with some powerful moves for lawmakers.
The former president – who filed for re-election after winning in 2016 and losing embarrassingly in 2020 – asked lawmakers to introduce a law requiring the death of drug traffickers in his 2024 campaign.
“America’s comeback begins right now,” he said, launching the 2024 Republican primary.
“To make America great and glorious, tonight I declare that I will be President of the United States.”
Donald Trump Wants Drug Dealers To Get The Death Penalty
Trump proposed the death penalty in front of several hundred supporters at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, on November 15, 2022. He said such laws in places like China and Singapore would end violence in those countries. and he said it is the only way to deal with the drug trade in the US
In the same speech Trump said on November 7, when he was competing against the candidate for the senate JD Vance in Ohio, Washington Post Trump reports:
“Most of this crime is committed by drug dealers who, in their lifetime, will kill about 500 Americans. Think about that. A drug dealer. You see, a drug dealer will kill about 500 people.”
Trump has shared many statistics about the drug trade in the US without mentioning where his supporters are calling for their executions.
“I am calling for the death penalty for drug dealers and human traffickers, which, if passed, will reduce drug trafficking and reduce crime in our country by 75 percent.”
